In 2014, Meghan’s Thanksgiving post surprised fans by including a fancy recipe on the menu instead of a regular chicken recipe. It was one for an oven-roasted chicken breast, with a leek mushroom sauce. She expressed her love for the recipe and bragged about it to her fans.

“I love a brined, stuffed and roasted turkey as much as anyone, but if you’re cooking for two, maybe a smaller bird is more to your liking,” she said, “and associated with a nice accompaniment and a delicious dessert, you will be the king or queen of happy bellies and full hearts, ”she assured.

Praising the “beautiful roast chicken”, Meghan said it was “good sunken cuisine”. Additionally, she explained to her fans that her recipes are “Clean Eats,” which means they won’t lead to a carbohydrate coma. The recipe also included chocolate coated almond butter bites and a special salad.

Markle closed her blog a while ago, but fans interested in cooking enthusiasts’ recipes can still access and view them on Tig Archives, an account on Tumblr that managed to keep some posts before the blog closed. Her Thanksgiving 2014 recipes are also included in the articles.

As a result of the “Megxit,” the two bought a luxury home in Montecito, California, and moved there with their son Archie. Markle mentioned in Ellen’s interview that Thanksgiving this year would be the second for her and Harry at their California home and that she was confident it would go well.

Markle is a huge Thanksgiving fan

Before her wedding, Markle showed how much she loved celebrating Thanksgiving on her lifestyle blog. While “The Tig” was still running, she created content on fashion, beauty, travel and other fields.

She also shared photos of her cooking skills and recipes on how to make her best meals. Even when she was dating Harry in 2016, Markle once posted a photo of what fans thought was a perfectly cooked turkey.

In the photo caption she wrote: “Oh, this time I roasted a pretty perfect Thanksgiving turkey!” She continued, “The question is, can I do it again? The pressure is there! “

The couple may share a mutual love for Thanksgiving birds, as Harry believed the perfect time to get down on his knees and propose was around a chicken dinner, as revealed by Markle.

The couple got engaged over a chicken dinner

A second reason why the 40 year old duchess has a resemblance to roast chicken could be because of the engagement of Harry and Markle who they said were around a roast chicken dinner.

In an interview the couple had together in 2017, they announced their engagement to the public. During this interview, Markle revealed that Harry’s proposal was about their attempt to roast a chicken together on a “comfortable night”.
